London : J. Stratford, 1807. A pleasant antique print of the old parish church of St. Mary the Virgin at Woodford. Engraved by John Francis Dauthemare (1781-1848) from an original drawing by William Ellis. Originally produced for James Stratford’s part-work series “London; Being an Accurate History and Description of the British Metropolis and its Neighbourhood ... by David Hughson” (1805-1810). “Hughson” was in fact the pseudonym of David Pugh.
Copper line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 105 x 165mm (approx. 4-1/8” x 6-1/2”). Slight nick to upper margin, not affecting image; a few tiny specks, but overall in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.

Engraved from original studies by William Caxton Keene and originally produced for the part-work “Greater London : A Narrative of its History, its People and its Places” published between 1882 and 1884.
Wood engraving on paper. Later hand colour. Engraved surface 111 x 142mm (approx. 4-3/8” x 5-5/8”). Text on verso. In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.
