BELL, John Anderson, 1809-1865 : ENTRANCE TO THE SECOND COURT OF TRINITY HALL [CAMBRIDGE]. [London : David Bogue, 1845]. A pleasant antique print – Trinity Lane and the original mediaeval entrance to Trinity Hall, with the Clare College Chapel and King’s College Chapel beyond. Engraved by John le Keux (1783-1846) from an original study by the Scottish architect and painter John Anderson Bell. Originally produced for the Le Keux part-work series “Memorials of Cambridge” (London : 1841-1842) – and here in a slightly later impression. SOLD |
