First performed at the Westminster Theatre in March 1939, with Michael Redgrave, Helen Haye, etc. – “superbly impressive ... certainly enlarged the boundaries of dramatic experiment” (The Era, 31st August 1939).
Demy 8vo (23cm). 136pp. Original grey cloth, lettered in red; covers lightly bruised, with a couple of marks, a few marks to edges; a good and sound copy in the dust-jacket – the jacket just lightly worn at tips, with a couple of nicks and a single short tear, but complete and close to very good.

The first appearance of Growltiger, the Rum Tum Tugger, Old Deuteronomy, Mr Mistoffelees, Macavity the Mystery Cat, Bustopher Jones, Skimbleshanks, etc. The cover and dust-jacket illustrations are by Eliot himself, neither being repeated inside the book.
Foolscap 4to (23cm). (46),[ii]pp. Original yellow pictorial cloth, blocked and lettered in red; a few slight marks; some spotting, mainly of edges, but otherwise a very good copy in the dust-jacket – a little rubbed, worn and sunned; lightly marked; slightly chipped at head, with a few nicks and very short tears, but a still attractive and welcome survival. With the ex-libris label of Ruth Kitching. Gallup A34a.

Demy 8vo (23cm). 108,[ii],[2]pp. Original red cloth, ruled and lettered in gilt; slight spotting of top edge; endpapers lightly tanned, but a very good copy in the dust-jacket – the jacket price-clipped, just faintly tanned and with a couple of tiny nicks and spots, but also very good. Contemporary (June 1959) gift inscription.
