London : John Tallis & Co., [ca.1850]. A most attractive mid nineteenth-century map, decorated with a vinet border and vignette views of Madrid, Lisbon, etc. The map was engraved by John Rapkin, with the additional decorative work by Nathaniel Whittock (1791-1860) and John Rogers (1800?-1882).
Steel line engraving on paper. Original outline hand colour, augmented with later wash. Engraved surface 255 x 313mm (approx. 10” x 12-1/4”). Original vertical fold, but otherwise in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique map.
