A delightful antique print – an attractive exterior view of Gray’s Inn with pedestrians passing by and children playing with a hoop. Engraved by William Watkins (fl.1828-1881) from an original study by Thomas Hosmer Shepherd, the master recorder of nineteenth-century London. from Shepherd’s series “London and its Environs in the Nineteenth Century” (London : 1829-1832).
