Her first book, originally published in 1915 but very extensively revised for the 1920 New York edition. Beyond the somewhat limited issue of these sheets supplied to Duckworth by the George H. Doran Company in 1920 and again in 1927, this textually highly significant version of the novel has never appeared in this country.
Crown 8vo (20cm). (376)pp - excluding integral endpapers. Original green cloth, ruled and lettered in black; some light wear at head and tail; faint marking to upper cover; endpapers slightly cracked and a little tanned; mild and faint discolouration to outer margin almost throughout; a good copy of an important text.
