London : C. Tilt, 1838. A most attractive antique print – a pleasant view of the Wren church on Upper Thames Street, only the tower of which survives. Engraved by John le Keux (1783-1846) from a study by the painter and architect Robert William Billings. Originally produced for George Godwin’s serially published “The Churches of London” (London : 1837-1839).
Steel line engraving on paper. Later hand colour. Engraved surface 165 x 98mm (approx. 6-1/2” x 3-7/8”). In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print. Adams 189/052.

London : J. Booth, 1812. A handsome antique print – the exterior of the Wren church demolished in 1831 to make way for the King William Street approach to the new London Bridge. Engraved by Joseph Skelton (1783-1871) from an original drawing (now in the British Museum) by John Coney. Originally produced for the part-work series “Architectura Ecclesiastica Londini; being a Series of Views” (London : 1810-1823) – “the first artistically competent and exhaustive illustration of the golden age of London church building” (Adams). Below the image are two lines of explanatory text.
Copper line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 257 x 165mm (approx. 10-1/8” x 6-1/2”). In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print. Adams 129/085.

[London : Leadenhall Press, 1891]. A pleasant vignetted late Victorian print of Upper Thames Street and the Wren church of St. Mary Somerset. From an original design by the painter and illustrator William Luker and engraved in Paris by Ch. Guillaume & Cie. for the Leadenhall Press publication “London City” (1891).
Hand touched and finished half-tone process block. Later hand colour. Image area 147 x 96mm (approx. 5-3/4” x 3-7/8”). Text on verso. In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.

Engraved by Edward John Roberts (1797-1865) from an original study by Thomas Hosmer Shepherd, the master recorder of nineteenth-century London. Originally produced for Shepherd’s series “London and its Environs in the Nineteenth Century” (London : 1829-1832).
Steel line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 112 x 71mm (approx. 4-1/2” x 2-3/4”). In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print. Adams 161/178.
