[London : George Virtue, 1844]. A striking antique print – the entrance to the Kazan Gorge on the Danube. Engraved by Edward Paxman Brandard (1819-1898) from an original study by William Henry Bartlett. Originally produced for the part-work series “The Danube, its History, Scenery and Topography” (London : 1844).
Steel line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 144 x 181mm (approx. 5-5/8” x 7-1/8”). In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.
