1881]. A handsome antique print – Botleys Park near Chertsey – a view of the house from the
meadows. Engraved by James Harfield Kernot (1802-1858) from an original study by the
gifted artist-architect Thomas Allom. Originally produced in for the part-work "History of
Surrey" (London : 1840-1848) – and here in the later reissue published between 1878 and

A charming antique print – the nineteenth-century manor of Foxhills near Chertsey – then belonging to the Whig politician, John Ivatt Briscoe (1791-1870). TOMBLESON, William : CHERTSEY BRIDGE. [London : Tombleson & Co., 1834]. A fine antique print showing the bridge and the adjacent houses on either side of the Thames. Engraved by John Smith (fl.1829-1843) from an original study by William Tombleson (fl.1823-1841) and originally published in the part-work series “Tombleson’s Views of the Thames and Medway” (London 1833-1834).
