“LATOUR, André” – [SOWMAN, Gordon William, 1918-1982] : FLAME OF DESIRE.

“LATOUR, André” – [SOWMAN, Gordon William, 1918-1982] : FLAME OF DESIRE.

London : Bernard Kaye Agency, [1952]. First edition. The second of the “André Latour” titles – and one subjected to a destruction order by the courts. “It tells of a young girl, new to the erotic pleasures of the gay city of Paris – the most beautiful and at the same time the most wicked city in the world. It tells of her temptations, and how she falls a prey to the vices and lechery of an old roue”.
Crown 8vo (19cm). [iv],9-116pp. Original pictiorial stapled wrappers; faint wear at foot; faint creasing; tiny nick to lower wrapper; staples a little rusted, but overall still a very good copy. Just two copies (British Library and Trinity College, Dublin) located in major libraries worldwide.
